Macy´s anuncia el cierre de 5 tiendas y el despido de 2350 personas

@factores.economicos Macy’s anunció ayer jueves que recortará alrededor del 3,5% de su fuerza laboral y cerrará cinco de sus tiendas a medida que la tradicional tienda departamental se mueve para recortar costos y revertir la desaceleración de las ventas.

La medida afectará aproximadamente a 2,350 puestos en su oficina corporativa y tiendas, dijo el portavoz de la compañía, Chris Grams.

“A medida que nos preparamos para implementar una nueva estrategia para satisfacer las necesidades de un consumidor y un mercado en constante cambio, tomamos la difícil decisión de reducir nuestra fuerza laboral en un 3,5% para convertirnos en una empresa más ágil”, dijo la compañía en un comunicado.

La acción de Macy’s (M) acumula una pérdida de 22.50% en los últimos 12 meses y una pérdida de 26.15% en los últimos 5 años.
